Ladies, we love to brush our hair, don't we? Maybe a little too much. How do I brush my hair extensions? This is actually a very common question in the world of hair care. Which is interesting because, not so long ago, hair extensions were frowned upon. Now, it is common and very much accepted and embraced by so many, especially in the entertainment industry. In my industry experience, I can say this... who doesn't have a piece, wig, or extension? Really though, it's no big secret. We all are aware that entertainers are all about aesthetics. And a major part of their aesthetics has to do with having fabulous-looking hair. And this applies to both male and female entertainers. Nevertheless, I digress.

Hair extensions are most "vulnerable" when there is moisture, or when it's wet. So when you wash your hair extensions, it is so very important to brush it slowly, and duh...use common sense!! I cannot stress this enough. Just like with our regular hair, hair extensions are also sensitive to pulling and tugging; even more so. Hold it at the crown, and brush gently and slowly. It's that simple. Take care to brush it like as if it was a gentle baby kitten. Slowly work through your hair extensions from the bottom to the top, one section at a time.

Please be advised; If you are not using the proper brush, you can damage the quality of your luxury hair extensions. You can Google the 'best hair extension brushes'. But you would be wise to choose a brush based on the type of hair extensions you have. Not only the texture, but method used to install the hair extensions. Bottom line, brushing hair extensions does NOT have to be a daunting task. Just don't be careless. Be good to them and they will be good to you!
